Here at St. David’s we strive to take the “school” out of Sunday. Our children’s program is rich in activity and offers an “experience” that invites children to explore our Christian faith in relation to our lives today. As well, we provide opportunities to participate in community events and service projects at and beyond St. David’s. For more information, please contact Alison Demeter at 403-284-2276 Ex. 106 or children@sduc.ca.

Three R's Unit

Faith Quest
Leadership: Alison Demeter and the People of St. David’s United Church

Program Time: Sundays from 10:00 – 11:15 AM

As some children are ready for a more structured program at three, we like to offer a flexible entry point into, Faith Quest, our Sunday morning program for children from age three to grade six. From September to May the children follow themes and rotate through a series of activities throughout each unit.

Activities are wide-ranging and are often project and/or theme based. Through the year we offer storytelling, music, arts, crafts, drama, dance, games, sports, discussion, worship leadership, and much more. Activities are adapted for the younger children to make them age appropriate.

This year, by employing a new theme each month, we will join our entire church family in exploring what it means to be a part of the St. David’s community.

You Are My Family (YAMF) is the time we set aside to intentionally spend time with our nuclear families and our church family. Although everyone is invited to join in, our service/recreation based activities focus on the younger families at St. David’s. It is through these shared experiences that we create bonds.
